This report sets out an interesting vision where creativity and collaboration are at the heart of what local government stands for.

Local Government's public approval rates have stood up well to the challenge of austerity but there are clear signs of deterioration in adult social care, childrens' services and housing provision as well of course the perennial and worsening grumbles about potholes.

Collaboration between public services has always been a challenge for UK PLC. Creativity can be difficult for any large organisations full of bureaucratic process.  The report sets out an interesting vision. If local government could deliver this it would be an amazing achievement. It will I suspect, only be something we could measure deep into the 2020s.
